The Network/La Red: Ending abuse in lesbian, bisexual women’s and transgender communities was formed in 1989 when a group of formerly battered lesbians came together to address same-sex domestic violence.
The Network/La Red offers free, confidential, and bilingual services for lesbians, bisexual women, transgender folks, MTF & FTM transexuals, gender queers, intersex folks, women involved with women, and in non-traditional relationships who may not feel comfortable coming out including polyamourous and S/M lifestyles who are concerned about their relationship, are being abused, or have been abused by a partner.
Services include: bilingual hotline, Confidential emergency shelter for 1-14 nights through our safe home, program, support group, advocacy with safety planning, court accompaniment, information, referral, and assistance accessing other social/legal/medical/housing services, community education through workshops,
trainings, and events. Newsletter, website, and educational brochures.All services are wheelchair, TTY-accessible, and bilingual. ASL interpreters, air filters, and reimbursement for child-care are available as needed.
